I checked another item off my good times bucket list this weekend: I finally saw the Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse in Boston! Oh my goodness, I had the absolute best time and so did the monsters.
The show is a about an hour and a half of nonstop laughs and fun. For those not familiar, the show features three painted blue men who do a variety of skits and musical numbers all while never speaking a word. The show is bright, loud, and interactive. In fact, Alex was picked to go on stage! I don’t want to ruin the show for anyone, but he had a part in one of the biggest magical moments of the night and the girls were thrilled to watch him onstage with the Blue Men.

February vacation is probably the best time for you to check out the show because the theater is hosting some great special events. Families can spend an afternoon at the Charles Playhouse where friendly staff members are ready and waiting in the Lounge to decorate youngsters in true Blue Man style with free face painting services before select shows. The recently transformed lounge features an interactive music and light installation created by Blue Man Group, called the “Lounge-U-Lum”. Kids and parents will have hours of delight creating sound and light scapes with this revolutionary new instrument. And don’t forget to stay after the show to meet members of the Blue Man Group and
get a selfie for your collection! There are also some great kids eat free and hotel deals available on the website.
