We just got back in from Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate & Princess Adventure and I have to say: It was AWESOME! First of all, the venue at The Providence VETS was ideal! It was super nice inside and there is parking within walking distance at the Providence Place Mall. The show itself was completely on par with the stage shows you see in the Disney Parks, so seeing the show is like a mini trip to Disney right in your own neck of the woods.
The show opens with some pre-show fun with Doc Mcstuffins. She got the crowd all ready for the show by helping us to shake all our wiggles out.
Sofia the First was the first half of the show and it looked exactly like the cartoon due to the combination of real actors and computer animated backgrounds that added so much set dimension. The show followed the format of a typical Sofia episode with various big musical numbers added. A certain other princess shows up when Sofia asks her amulet for help and all the little girls in the audience were especially in awe during this part.
The second half of the show was Jake and the Neverland Pirates. It used the same computer graphics to make you feel like you were sailing with your pirate buddies. If anyone follows my Pinterest, you can only imagine how psyched I was when Peter Pan showed up to help!
The show is in Providence through tomorrow and you can save $3 using the code Mickey. Check out the Disney Live! page for upcoming show date in your area and yo ho mateys away!
