I have not been to the Boston Museum of Science in many many years; the last time I went was as a counselor for a summer camp I was working at in college. I have been wanting to bring Zoe for awhile, but didn’t want to bring a baby Lea. Now that Lea is a super active toddler, I thought it was a good time to give it a go and I was right.
The museum really has something to offer everyone, from kids of all ages all the way to adults. There are various shows you can take in, a butterfly exhibit, an IMAX theater, and a 3-D theater. We decided to visit the planetarium show since it was a Sesame Street show. The awesome thing about this show was how educational it was but still so enjoyable through its use of Elmo and Big Bird to explain all about the stars in the sky.
We all enjoyed the electricity show too which creates lightning indoors. The dinosaur exhibit is so much more impressive than you remember it being as a kid, featuring real bones along with life size models too. Lea loved the exhibit Science in the Park where she got to explore and play on some playground equipment (all in the name of science of course!) I definitely need to visit again soon since the museum is building a new Pixar exhibit as we speak!
Next time you are looking for something the whole family can enjoy and truly make a day out of, I definitely recommend the Museum of Science. Check out some more photos of our day by pressing the play button below.
