When I was pondering my upcoming posts, I knew I wanted to feature some cute back to school clothing reviews and giveaways this month, but had no idea I would fall so in love with a company I reached out to! Tuff Kookooshka makes super fun and whimsical fleece coats and pullovers for both boys and girls and is Falmouth, MA based. Imagine my surprise when I got an email back telling me that the coats were actually manufactured in my hometown of Fall River. I am all about American made products and buying locally whenever possible, so I could not wait for the girls new fall coats to come in and let me tell you, they were absolutely gorgeous!
Zoe got the Blossom Orchid in a size 6 and Lea got the Posie Navy in a size 2. I would say the coats run true to size, if not a little bit large. I would order the size your child wears or a size up if you want to try to make it last a few years (Zoe is really more a 5, so I anticipate hers fitting for awhile.) The fleece that Tuff Kookooshka uses is incredibly soft and not dry and scratchy like some department store fleeces. Both of the girls coats are hooded and some models come with zippers like Lea’s while others have button closures like Zoe’s. Both of the girls jackets come from the Flower Power line, but Tuff Kookooshka offers many different styles for both boys and girls including superheros and character designs. Tuff Kookooshka also carries some of the cutest winter hats I have ever seen which I will definitely be placing an order for. You can see examples of some of the different hats and coats below:
Rachel at Embellish Photography and Design and I had a blast having a Tuff Kookooshka photo shoot on a very fall-like day this past week. You should definitely check out Rachel’s photography if you are in the Southcoast area, but I don’t think I’ll have to tell you that twice after seeing these beautiful photos of pretty little monsters in adorable Tuff Kookooshka coats!
