How can you tell someone’s a vegan? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you 🙂 That’s a terrible joke one of my students told me this year, but it has some truth in it I suppose. I, my readers, am a vegan (as you probably already knew!) Besides being vegan, my family does not eat anything with any form of MSG. Now that sounds like not a huge commitment, but I assure you it is literally in everything. Any item that has “natural ingredients” listed as an ingredient, for example, is something we don’t eat (if you want to learn more about this I highly recommend you check out this page.) So despite the fact that PETA lists about a bazillion candies that are indeed vegan, we don’t eat them. Now, my monsters were not going to live a childhood deprived of sweets, even it ended up me making them all, but Justin’s Organic Peanut Butter Cups really saved the day. These things are AMAZING! We get the dark chocolate variety and check out the ingredients:

Yep…all real ingredients, no hidden poisons. The kids (and the hubby) go nuts over these things and we should probably think about taking up stock in the company to recoup some of the money we fork over to them weekly.
