So in one week I will have one of the monsters in school…

So, while I prolong writing a serious post about having your baby go to school, I thought I could do a quickie fun post with some first day photo ideas from across the web. A regular photo before school is sooooo 2005; didn’t you know you need props these days? I’m kidding, of course, but these would make for a special memento of your kiddo’s big day.

This is an example I see a lot of across various blogs. You pose your child against a blank wall and use a photo editing site to add in biographically details after. I love this because if you managed to keep up with it, it would really show how the child changes year to year.

I am obsessed with this idea and wish I would find the motivation to make on of these before next week. This was actually found on a teacher blog for use in the classroom, but how adorable is? The teacher pictured gives a full tutorial on the blog, but the base is simply a cut up foam board.

This photo is so adorable and simple if crafty projects aren’t your thing. It could easily be taken year to year as well to show growth.

This is another simple idea and I love how the change in one letter lets you see that a year has passed. These would look adorable in side by side frames.

This idea could not be easier! A quick trip to the craft store to get the right grade and some paint and you have a great photo. I think this would be adorable if the paint color coincided with the school colors.
