So I took the monsters to get their pictures taken today. Luckily it was at a good friend’s and not a studio I don’t know because I’m not sure a stranger could have handled my level of crazy. Me and Rachel, the photographer found a picture on Pinterest that inspired us of a little girl in retro fifties garb so I hightailed it to The Children’s Place last night to do some shopping. That place is amazing. I got Lea Monster a jean romper, a pair of lace shorts, a pair of ruffle shorts, and two pairs of vinatgey sunglasses for $11! They are having an amazing sale right now on summer merchandise so check it out. Zoe had a red and white romper already and Rachel had bandannas. I pictured a baby version of Rosie the Riveter. Well we went to Rachel’s bright and early to shoot and Zoe decided to wake up on the jerk side of the bed. She literally would not listen to anything we said and had the general disposition of a teenager on her period! I was horrified and disciplining her right in the middle of the pictures, time out and all! Then Rachel said something to me, “I think this is way harder on you then me. All kids act like this for pictures.” PHEW! It made me realize that sometimes I am way harder on the girls than need be and they (usually) are super well behaved. Nothing like a photo shoot to keep your inner tiger momma in check. I will post a preview of the pics when I get them, but for now, nighty night…..
