So while I may not have gone as all out as I normally do, it was still a great day. Spending time with family and celebrating a prefect little two-year-old is the only thing that counts anyway. Please check out Crystal and Karen at the links below:
Today was Lea Monster’s second birthday party. As I mentioned in my prior post, she is currently Yo Gabba Gabba obsessed so that is the theme we went with. To be honest, my heart was just not that into party planning this year. This is the first summer I am not teaching summer school so my budget was a lot smaller than normal, and Alex has been working seven days a week which left not a lot of time for us to work on it (he even had to work until noon today!) While this party may not have been up to my usual “standards,” I still think it was a great day. Look below for a photo recap of the day!
I found Zoe’s shirt at Old Navy in the toddler section where she can still manage to fit in a 5t. Lea’s shirt came from The Children’s Place and her great custom bow is from Headbands by Crystal. She matched the ribbon of the actual bow to her shirt and then featured Brobee dead center. A link to her Facebook is at the end of this post!
Lea adored her Party City Balloons!
Today was beautiful weather for some outdoor fun and the visors made for some funny photo ops!
I must say that the hands down best part of the party was the ice cream truck we had come. Like No Udder is Rhode Island’s vegan truck and Karen that owns it is awesome. She pulled into the driveway with ice cream music blaring and both the lil’ monsters recognize “their” ice cream truck by sight (it is painted like a purple cow after all!) Everyone enjoyed their cones, cups, and shakes despite us being the only vegans there. I can’t tell you how happy it made me to provide my little ones with such a special treat. I highly recommend Like No Udder for vegans, lactose intolerant folks, and anyone who likes creamy and delicious iced treats. Karen even let the girls go on the truck after and gave them a tour and informational session on how she makes the ice cream.
